description: Nowadays, people are wondering how they become more self-sufficient in the midst of a crisis, especially with what is happening in the world today because of Covid-19. One solution could be to possibly grow your own fruits and vegetables efficiently, right outside your own front door. Aquaculture will be an automated aquaponic gardening system with aims to substantially decrease the amount of time and energy a person needs to invest in order to monitor and grow their own fruits/vegetables. It will do this by automating certain processes such as pumping water, configuring water pump settings, measuring water pH levels, and much more. All of these options will be presented through a web application built with Django, that the farmer can connect to and use. On the web application, the farmer will be able to view live sensor data collected from various sensors set up throughout the system so they can make sure the system is running as expected. The user/farmer will also be able to change certain system settings through the web app and be able check other valuable information they may need, such as weather.
