Architects can benefit from themindset of a photographer by also becoming thephotographer.By exploring the methodology of taking a photograph and its parallels to architectural forms ofrepresentation, we can create a set of criteria thatwill provide insight on the potentials of a photography driven architectural design process. Fromthis, the architect’s mind can be broken free fromthe rationalities that exist in design today and canprovide a foundation for finding form.Through a rigorous exploration and process, thediscovery and development of a methodology forform finding is created. The generation of architectural forms is able to be fabricated based onan image and manipulated through a series ofsteps. Through further analysis, each space created is framed by the cameras lens and presented asoccupiable space and recognizable as architecturalform.
