description: This application was created by a team of three undergraduate computer science students to explore the possibilities of sentient note-taking. SentiMental is a productivity application centered around making your data work for you and turning it into usable, actionable metrics and information. The focus during development was to use natural language processing to categorize, sort, and provide insight into the contents of notes to increase productivity by grouping relevant notes together and providing further understanding. The team created a flutter application for users to interact with when setting up and authenticating their accounts and adding new notes. Since most existing applications simply stored the users' writings for later retrieval and did nothing further, the team also developed a data engine to post-process the user-submitted notes and perform analysis on them. The application can possibly be used to provide users with a better understanding of how to organize their tasks and ideas in a more efficient way to make using an application as an organizational tool more beneficial in the long run. The result is an application that users can download and use to get a better insight into their notes.
