description: Our project discusses the findings of our security assessment for current IoT products available on the market. Current IoT devices lack standard security controls that need to be in place in order to harden the machine. Penetration testing these devices is one way to shed light on the vulnerabilities and poor security practices that organizations use in their products. The hope is that the public takes our work and continues to stress the importance of security within IoT devices. We also hope that the organizations who make these products take our remediations seriously and hope that they use our work as a reference when implementing security into future IoT devices.
